2026 Midterm Concerns? Here is the Fix!

For Conservatives, winning in 2024 was a huge relief. We have a chance to reverse the damages that socialists have caused our country. But, unfortunately, as far as I can tell, Republicans have not taken the opportunity they were given.

Their biggest "wins" at the federal level are passing a giant bill that increased spending by a lot of money, and winning in a fight to keep using the budget the previous administration left us with. You know, the administration we rejected by electing someone who wasn't a member of it?

I honestly don't see how this lack of meaningful change will not lead straight to major defeats in the midterm 2026 elections.

Long rant reduced to a sentence: why vote at all when the result is the same no matter who wins?

The answer is that we need start acting NOW to change things. We should NOT wait until the elections.

First, for those of you who are not Christian, the best thing you can do is write your Congress members and tell them what you don't like, and what you like, about how they are dong their jobs.

Beyond that, you could try to get into politics yourself, or help support others who are doing so. Especially those who demonstrate real Conservative values, and a willingness to sacrifice "wins" in order to stand on principle.

For those of us who are Christian, we need to remember that the real battle is spiritual. And right now we're in a major battle, one that I don't think many of us are even acknowledging.

I believe the lack of Conservative leadership in our government is because the American church has bought wholesale into the lie that if we teach something "political" that offends someone who doesn't agree with that "political" thing, then we will lose our chance at leading them to Christ.

Another lie we have bought into, is that there is a "separation of church and state." That concept is completely false. Blatantly so. If your faith (church) does not inform your politics (state), then your faith is, at best, weak, and generally meaningless.

Let me be blunt, if you are a Christian, then your faith should inform every decision you make. From doing your job, to your entertainment, to how you vote, to how you speak, to EVERYTHING!

(No, we don't need a theocracy, we need people living their faith, not imposing it on others.)

So, if we want the United States of America to be better, even great, we Christians need to seek Christ, repent of what He tells us we need to repent of, and live as He would live.

If we do that, we will naturally do the things we need to do to make our country better. We will vote for good, and against evil. If we take political office, we will stand on our faith, and not on weakness. When the enemy tries to pull us into a pointless war, we will not let him. When he tries to keep us from championing those who need a champion, he will fail. Basically, instead of just going the way that is comfortable and easy, we will take the path of our convictions, even when that is hard. And that path is one that leads to GOOD.

I'll end with this: Please start praying for wisdom in your own life on how you should live, for your congressmen to know what is right (and that they will have the strength to do it), and that God would shine His light on the lies that the church is allowing to hold it back from what God wants.

(Side note: Christian vs. Conservative. Ok, so, to be clear, Christian does not equal Conservative, nor does Conservative equal Christian. But, conservative values mirror Christian values more closely than socialist values do. Don't believe me? That's fine. I'd suggest digging into the topic and examining all sides of the arguments, though.)
